False Positive Remediations

We've rolled out seven new features designed to maintain our false positive rate at an impressive all-time low of 0.2%. These updates work together to update our detection pipeline, enabling us to identify false positives and legitimate assets more quickly and accurately:

  1. Hosting domain detection

  2. Legitimacy sources

  3. Tranco List legitimacy source

  4. Security Alliance legitimacy source

  5. Metamask eth-phishing-detect legitimacy source

  6. Search page improvements

  7. Organization asset allowlist improvements

In the past few months, we've 10x'd our threat detection and reporting volume. We take false positives very seriously, and ChainPatrol is proud that with that increase in volume, we've maintained a <0.2% false positive rate. These changes are part of us doubling-down on our internal company goal of "as close to zero false positives as possible."

The key benefits include fewer false positives, more information for both automated and manual reviewing systems to assess malicious behaviour, and greater confidence when deploying new detection algorithms, ensuring they won't cause regressions in false positives.
